Did you read the recent article, “California bans chemicals used in frozen yogurt and Slurpee machines”? It is a really very interesting article and the ban relates to "a type of refrigerant known as hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs" and they are sometimes "used in supermarket refrigerators, frozen yogurt dispensers, Slurpee machines, chilled vending machines and foams used in construction.” 

HFCs are “a type of chemical used in industrial refrigeration equipment that also is a potent greenhouse gas,” which is understood to “trap heat in the atmosphere at a rate thousands of times the most common greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide.” It is an interesting article and The Mercury News has done an amazing job explaining why these substances have been banned.

The Circle K convenience store in Elverum (Norway) has published a rather neat video about taste testing from one of our One-Shot® ice cream and frozen yogurt pod dispensers. They appear to be extremely thrilled by our dispensing system and this is the third video this year they have published that we have embedded in our blog.
